Southern heroines have dreamt a lot to hoist their sexy flag in Bollywood and ran to Mumbai. But they failed there and hence coming back to pavilion. The popular in the list are Priyamani, Trisha and Shreya. 
Trisha appeared in Bollywood film ‘Katta Meetha’ but that flopped miserably. Knowing her fate in Bollywood she came back immediately. Similarly Shreya appeared in ‘Mission Isthanbul’, ‘Awarapan’ sort of films and ran back with failures. Priyamani appeared in ‘Ravan’ and understood her fortunes in Bollywood. And these ladies are saying that South is their mother’s place and hence they cannot go away from the fold of Southern audiences. 
It is only Asin who is still lingering there in Bollywood to bag a few offers at least in slow and steady fashion. She got close to some Bollywood biggies there those can promote her. 
Well, other ladies might not know the tricks of the trade.

A pictorial intro to A R Murugadoss’ ’7am Arivu’, starring Suriya and Shruti Haasan

After super-hit Tamil film ‘Ghajini’, Suriya and director A R Murugadoss team up for the sci-fi extravaganza ’7am Arivu’ (The Seventh Sense).

Suriya is, reportedly, essaying three roles in ’7am Arivu’. He plays a trapeze artiste, a Buddhist monk and a scientist.

"At this stage I wouldn’t want to divulge much about my roles in the film. But I can assure you that this project will be a giant leap for the entire team that worked on ‘Ghajini’. We, as a team, have tried to break away from the monotony of the formulaic way of making our films. It has been our earnest attempt to rewrite the grammar of filmmaking," says Suriya.

The movie, also starring Shruti Haasan and Vietnamese actor Johnny Tri Nguyen, will be released by the end of 2011.

After 180, Tamil-Telugu hero Siddharth has signed a new project under the direction of Ramesh Varma, who earlier directed Ride and Veera.

According to sources, the film has been titled Sri Sri and Kajal Aggarwal will be the heroine. This is the first time Kajal is pairing up with Siddharth and it is her second film with director Ramesh Varma (the first being Veera).

Said to be a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Sri Sri will be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions. The movie will hit the floors on July 30. More details are awaited.

Kollywood’s handsome hunk Karthi married Renjani (also spelt as Ranjani) in Coimbatore today at 5.45 a.m. Karthi’s father actor Sivakumar, his brother Suriya and his actress-wife Jyotika welcomed the guests. Karthi’s wedding was in typical Kongu style; the actor wore a traditional white silk dhoti and shirt; the bride Renjani was seen in a yellow Kanchivaram silk saree. Actors Prabhu, Rajesh, Pandiarajan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Siddharth, Saravanan, Nagma, directors K.S. Ravikumar, Hari, Bala and Suseendhiran graced the occasion and blessed the newly married couple. Around 4000 Karthi fans were present at the function.

The family will also hold a grand reception in Chennai on July 7 (Thursday).

If Karthi’s wedding took place with much fanfare and tight security, ace director Selvaraghavan was nowhere behind. He married 23-year-old Geethanjali, daughter of former advocate General of Tamil Nadu P.S. Raman, at a luxury hotel in Chennai today.

Geethanjali is currently assisting Selva in Irandam Ulagam with Dhanush and Richa in the lead roles. Selva had married actress Sonia Agarwal at a high profile ceremony on 15 December, 2006. After two years, they separated and later got divorced.

Interesting, this is the first time that two prominent film personalities in Kollywood got married on the same day.

While some are appreciating Ajith for his ‘Bharya Vidheyatha’, there are those who are cursing him for missing out on tasting the sweet juices of Trisha’s lips.

Just recently, it was reported that Lawrence is all set to be seen in the role of a ‘Kojja Dayyam’ in his new movie ‘Kanchana’. Now, it is heard that many are asking him about the Kojja character and details about that. However, his answer has taken aback many of them. 
Well, Lawrence has put himself in the league of the legend N T Rama Rao. A media person revealed Lawrence’s words “Why are you teasing me? Did NTR not do it in the film ‘Anna Thammudu’ which came in 1958? He also did the same in ‘Narthanasala’, cant I do it?”

After pairing up with Suriya in ‘Singham’, Anushka Shetty is all set to share screen space with his younger brother Karthi.

Reportedly, Anushka has agreed to be Karthi’s heroine in his upcoming film to be directed by Suraaj, who made ‘Padikathavan’ and ‘Mappillai’.

Karthi is currently busy with Shankar Dayal’s ‘Saguni’.

Notably, Anushka was the initial choice for Karthi’s ‘Siruthai’, but owing to her busy schedule, she did not accept the project.
